River of Fire

Well, it certainly was a River of Fire for the 4th of July fireworks show in the Tri-Cities. I went to my usual area on the Pasco side of the river, downriver from the blue bridge. I like the bridge as a backdrop for the fireworks, and with the right shot like below, you can include Old Glory flying high on the top of the bridge. This shot was a unique one in that it was red, white and blue. It was a fun way to end the day after watching The Sound of Music at the new Reach Museum. I use F11 with a 2 second shutter time and ISO 400. By using the 2 second shutter opening, I could focus on timing which is the toughest part of capturing fireworks. And of course a tripod is an absolute must. Pinecone Pixels 2013
