I spent Saturday the 19th shooting wildflowers in the Columbia Gorge area with my friend Richard Tisdale and local photographer Lisa Williamson. It was an overcast day, and calm in the morning allowing good light for flower photography. We also visited the Tom McCann Preserve. Alas, it was a bit early, and the lupine was not yet ready. I am heading that way again this week and will have opportunity to shoot some more as time allows. The gorge is a beautiful area in the spring for the few weeks that the wildflowers are in bloom. I especially like the orange poppies that grace the roadside on Highway 14.
