This is the second bloodmoon of the four that are to occur through out 2014-15. The next one occurs April 4th next year and the last one on September 28th. This was my first attempt to photograph this rare occurance, and was taken at 3:30am. I was using my 70-200 with a 2X extender to fill the frame as much as I could. The arc was from the moon moving thru the frame on its merry way to the west, with a 5 minute space between shots. I would like to be more prepared next time, and be in an area with very little ambient light. This was just out the front door, so it made for ease access, but there was some light pollution that I had to deal with in post processing. Enjoy.
